The beginning
CEYLAN comes from gastronomy. Daily work in its own snack bar creates the need for a better electric Döner knife. In 1994 HERAN® reaches the market as the first device — a hand-held electric cutting device, quieter and more agile than the pneumatic tools of the time. In 1995 the company is founded.
2000
Experience becomes a product of its own
DEVRAN® becomes the defining product of the company history: robust, simple to operate, long-lasting — and with a standard blade instead of a special one. Its construction still carries today’s generation of equipment. The range then grows to include Döner grills, circular blades and further catering equipment; in 2001 CEYLAN GmbH is founded. This includes a catering supplies shop in Essen, Germany.

A new scale
With the move to the new main site, quality processes, process control and working standards were developed further.

Family-run. International. Technically independent
What has remained is the way of working: requirements come from practice, not from a catalogue. The equipment is built to be repairable, spare parts and service come directly from the manufacturer — today in more than 90 countries.
